2005.06.20, Seattle, Space Needle

After a decent dinner at the Dahlia Lounge, it was time to check out the Space Needle. The elevator ride up is a bit dizzying, as was the subtle rotation at the top of the needle. I was wondering why things felt a bit strange until I remembered that the thing was moving.

After the Smith Tower experience, the Space Needle was a bit anti-climactic. The view is good, but it's just not the same experience.

After exiting the needle, we spent some time in the gift shop, then walked around the area, checking out the exterior of the Experience Music Project in the process. It's a weird looking area, to say the least. We both wanted to go in, but it's a bit expensive ($20 or so) and seemed to require a time commitment that we weren't able to make.
